Do you like them broiled, grilled or fried? Do you suck the heads? Do you dip them in sauces? Whatever your preference, here are some wonderfully simple salads that go with sweet and succulent shrimp!
Shrimp or prawns, is a fantastic meal to make for friends and family. A meal where it’s rustic and you can get your hands dirty and everything is finger licking good. How do you like to serve up your shrimp?
The best way to eat shrimp is simply to broil it. Good shrimp is succulent and sweet and for many people, that’s all you really need.
Others may prefer to dip in some form of sauce for extra flavour such as the famous Thousand Island sauce, creamy garlic dip or perhaps a soy chilli sauce.
In Asia, shrimp is served up cooked in all sorts of different ways. My absolutely favourite is garlic butter, which you’d think is an unusual way to cook it up in Malaysia but it’s always on the menu.
Other ways of frying it include garlic and fried oats that get sprinkled on top as well as dry chilli and shallots.
