We love how the traditional chicken casserole of chicken, celery, potatoes, onions and carrots has evolved so much over time that the combinations of ingredients you can now put in your recipe is almost endless.

I love all the different recipes such as chicken, pancetta and barley, chicken, puy lentils and mushrooms or even the chicken, broccoli and jalapenos. But no matter the combinations, the beauty of a good chicken casserole is how easy it is to make.

Love being able to just add everything into the casserole dish or Dutch oven and in the oven it goes where all the hard work gets done.

As the glorious smell of your cooking wafts through the kitchen for the afternoon, it’s time to prepare a couple of quick salads to serve with it. As these salads take 20 minutes or less to make, you might like to try a few of these salad recipes.

  2. What a great round-up! I love the unique flavors going on here, always good to switch things up from my usual salads once in a while.

  3. I’m pretty excited about trying all of these. I’m especially curious about Tamari seeds. I don’t get nearly enough edible flowers in, either. We used to eat squash blossoms a lot, so I’m totally in for adding zucchini flowers to my salad.

    1. Thanks Terra! Seeds, edible flowers, micro greens….. all fantastic and healthy additions to any salad recipe. Not to mention how healthy they are and how pretty they make to the presentation.
